LH Vegetable Broth + Bouquet Garni

Homemade broth and bouquet garni’s are excellent ways to add layers of flavor to anything you’re cooking.

Use stock as a base for a soup or in place of water when making beans, rice or quinoa.

  • Freeze your vegetable scraps as you generate them to make stock at the end of the week. Avoid brassicas in your stock.
  • Make and freeze in 1-2 cup servings.
  • Make in an instapot for quick results that allow less histamine build up.

A bouquet garni is a quick way to add flavor to anything savory and liquid. Simply tie bay leaf + any combination of LH herbs + black peppercorns in cheesecloth knotted or tied with kitchen string and toss it in as it cooks.
